The Howard Area Clubhouse wouldn't be where we are today without the following funders that made it possible for us to still exist:
The clubhouse network
"The Clubhouse mission is to provide a creative and safe out-of-school learning environment where young people from underserved communities work with adult mentors to explore their own ideas, develop new skills, and build confidence in themselves through the use of technology. In support of that mission, The Clubhouse Network supports community-based Clubhouses around the world by providing start-up support, professional development, new technology innovations, evaluation and assessment, partnership opportunities, and access to an online community for youth, mentors, and staff.
Today, The Clubhouse Network is a global community comprised of 100 Clubhouses in 19 countries, providing 25,000 youth per year with access to resources, skills, and experiences to help them succeed in their careers, contribute to their communities, and lead outstanding lives."
After school matters
"After School Matters® is a non-profit organization that provides life-changing after-school and summer program opportunities to more than 15,000 Chicago high school teens each year.
Teens are at the core of everything After School Matters does. They are the reason we exist – from the more than 200,000 we have reached since our beginnings, to the many more we must reach in the future.
Our Vision: After School Matters provides teens with opportunities to discover their potential and find their future.
Our Mission: To provide Chicago public high school teens opportunities to explore and develop their talents, while gaining critical skills for work, college and beyond."
teen reach
“Teen REACH (Responsibility, Education, Achievement, Caring, and Hope) is a comprehensive youth development initiative that provides after school program services to high-risk youth between the ages of 6 and 17.
Goals: To provide a safe environment with caring adult role models that will work with youth to increase academic achievement and develop the life skills necessary for future success.
Outcome: Youth will be safe; youth will graduate from high school.”
